1. Who is Flashcom LTD?

Flashcom is a Telecommunication company that provided telephone, internet access, and Fax and SMS services to the public.


2.How does Flashcom Phones Work?
Flashcom uses the latest wireless called CDMA technology which supports voice calls, Internet, SMS and Fax. This technology is wireless, ensuring instant connection for the customer. All you need is the telephone set and subscription to the service to be able to use the above mentioned services.
3. Does Flashcom depend on another network provider?
No. Flashcom has set up its own network infrastructure and does not depend on another service provider.


4. Who owns Flashcom?
Flashcom is 100% owned by Kenyan investors whose vision is to provide an opportunity for local talent to take part in the development of Kenya's telecommunications infrastructure.


5. Will we need to go through an ISP to get to the Internet?
No. Once you get connected to one of the Flashcom data options you will not need an ISP to get Internet connection.


6. Is it possible to connect other extensions in the office?
Yes. Flashcom has a black box solution which can be integrated with your office PABX.Flashcom has a hunt line solution which gives one a pilot line facility from where you can connect to other Flashcom phones.


7. Can one receive calls while surfing the net
Yes. As long as the Internet is not on the active mode. For example while one is reading a page, which has, been downloaded.
When one is active on the Internet, the caller will receive an engaged tone.


8. Do you provide Internet services without the phone?
No .We provide a dial up connection i.e. we provide connection over a telephone line.


9. Do all Windows operating systems compatible with our phones?
Yes. But we recommend that if you are using Windows 95 or 98, you need to upgrade it preferable to Windows XP.


10. Is it possible to have one phone "split" to be shared by two or more computers?
Flashcom recommends one phone per one computer, to be able to receive quality service. Flashcom does not do the splitting.


11. Where can I pay my bill?
Once you receive your bill, you can make your payment at our main office located at:
Barclays Plaza, Lower Ground Floor
Loita Street, Nairobi

Or you can pay at our customer care branch located on:
Capital Center Mombasa RD, open from 9am to 7pm daily

You can also make payments in the following centres
Westlands
Mobi World
Mpaka Plaza, Ground Floor

CEL Limited
Hilton Hotel, Lower Ground Floor
12. When is my bill due?
The bill is due on the 15th of every month. Once payment is done, your account is credited.
Default in payment after the 15th, the system disables your communication system.
13. Can I pay my bill with a credit card?
Yes, you can make payment with credit cards. Other options for making payment are direct bank deposits, cash and electronic fund transfer.


14. What happens when I have a faulty phone or my phone develops a problem?
Depending on the phone purchased, they have a 1 year warranty. When this happens, kindly bring the phone to

15. What do these errors on my internet connection procedure mean?
- Error 721
Error 721 occurs when the modem is not communicating with your computer. These problems may be related to the launch of new service or updates to our existing capabilities. We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend that you call our customer care team on 3 000 150.

- Error 684
Error 684 occurs when the modem has installation problems. Query the modem or restart the installation again.

- Error 681
Error 681 occurs, on a prepaid account, there is inadequate airtime. So reload your account and use the service. It can also occur when the line has not been activated on data, call out customer care team on 3 000 150 to activate your line on data.
